ABOUT THE race

This track seems like a mix of the tracks we’ve been to so I think we’re back in our comfort zone. It’s a big track so I think strategy is going to play an important role. From our simulation work it seems like [energy conservation required] is not drastic here. You have to save a little bit; there’s up hills and down hills, and there’s a lot to be gained and lost in different places. It’s an interesting track. You’ll still have to be smart to be as efficient as possible.

Nelson Piquet JR (NextEV China Racing)

ABOUT THE race

The track looks good but it’s a bit early to know how we’ll go in the race. We need to look at consumption and how much energy we can save in the race. We’re back on proper asphalt. We’ll be back to what we’ve seen before Berlin. Let’s wait and see.

Sébastien Buemi, e.Dams Renault

3rd pole position for Jean-Eric Vergne

  • 06.06.15 - 17h04
Piquet Jr (1st): "I knew coming to a track like this we would be more within our comfort zone – I really enjoy places like this. It's really bumpy, tricky and difficult to drive, which is just where our car excels. We did exactly what we set out to do – qualified well and won the race."
